Butterflies taste with their feet.
I don't know about you, but my feet don't have the sense of taste- but they are capable of smelling.
Butterflies have to dry their wings before they can fly.
And I usually find myself winging things before I learn to fly with them.
Once a caterpillar has eaten enough (and shed it's skin about 4 times) it creates a cocoon and metephorisizes.
And once I have eaten enough and shed my outer covering, wrap myself in a cocoon of blankets and don't leave until I dream of wings.
