Legos spilled upon the floor
careful to tread only the right spots
kick them out of the way
Deeper I go into the toys
untying the knots of children playing all day
weaving in and out of the minefield
trucks and garbage
balls and dirt
papers and crayons
one by one removed
until the floor is clear
sweet release
